1970 - 1976 Mopar Combination Valve Autopsy

I found this 1973 A-body combination brake valve on eBay. I believe the original part number is 3549947. Original applications include 1973 through 1976 Plymouth Duster, Scamp, Valiant, Dodge Dart, and Demon with front disk and rear drum brakes. The same type of valve was used on other Mopar vehicles from January 1, 1970 - 1976. It's purpose is to detect differences in front-to-rear brake system fluid pressure and to control fluid pressure to the rear drum brakes.

1967 - 1975 Mopar Brake Tube Tee Autopsy

I recently found this brake tube tee with an integral pressure differential warning switch on eBay. I believe the original part number is 3404607. The original applications include 1970 and 1971 Plymouth Barracuda, Belvedere, and Satellite and 1970 - 1971 Dodge Challenger, Coronet, and Charger with 4-wheel drum brakes. The same type of part was used on other Mopar vehicles from 1967 - 1975. It's purpose is to detect differences in front-to-rear brake system fluid pressure.

AMC-Ford-GM-Mopar Kelsey-Hayes Proportioning Valve Rebuild

This Kelsey-Hayes proportioning valve (sometimes also called a "rear pressure regulating valve") was allegedly removed from a 1968 Yenko Camaro. I believe that the same type of valve was also used on other GM vehicles, 1967 - 1969 Ford Galaxie and Thunderbird (car lines A and S), 1967 - 1969 full-sized Mercury and Lincoln (car lines A, D, and K), 1968 - 1970 Mopars (car lines B, J, L, R, V, and W), and the 1968 - 1970 AMC American, AMX, and Javelin.

1979 Kelsey-Hayes Cast Iron Combination Valve Autopsy

I personally removed this cast iron Kelsey-Hayes brake combination valve from a 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Sport Coupe. The valve includes pressure differential (in the middle), proportioning (at right), and metering (at left) components. I am unsure of the original GM part number for this valve. Similar valves were used on AMC (321 1630), Ford (D5AZ-2B257-A, D6OZ-2B257-A), and Chrysler Corporation (3583607) vehicles.

1978 - 1982 GM 1257208 Combination Valve Autopsy

This Weatherhead brake combination valve was removed from a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette. I bought it through eBay for autopsy purposes. The valve includes both pressure differential (in the middle) and proportioning (at right) components, but no metering valve because a metering valve isn't needed for cars equipped with 4-wheel disk brakes. I've seen similar brass-bodied valves that include a metering valve on the left side for cars equipped with front disk and rear drum brakes.

The original GM part number is 1257208. This valve was used on 1978 - 1982 Corvettes.
